Follow-up research (catamnesis)
Head: PD Dr. M. Riedel and Dr. F. Seemüller
The Research Group on Follow-up Research mainly focuses on the systematic, disease course-related and clinically oriented evaluation of longitudinal data from patients with depressive disorders and disorders from the schizophrenia spectrum.
This also includes the construction and maintenance of an extensive electronic database in which both sociodemographic characteristics and regular psychopathological evaluations of inpatients are routinely and systematically recorded. These data are analysed in different ways, e.g. with regard to:
- Symptom profiles of the different disorders
- Degree of improvement at discharge
- Comparison of the frequency of insufficient improvement at discharge between different disorder groups and different treatments
- Prognosis factors for response to certain therapies
